No parking due to street cleaning: Pay attention to posted signs to see when parking is restricted. The signs will be posted on street lamps and nearby trees and will give you the day of the week as well as the hours when parking is not allowed.

Unless you find parking signs that read “parking permitted after the street sweeper passes” or you’re willing to pay the fine, avoid street parking the entire time. L.A street sweepers are notorious for not actually doing their sweeping. Even if you don’t think the street sweeper will be coming down your street, people have reported finding tickets on their windshields regardless.
