The Trick to Parking Near the Staples Center

Nothing beats cheering on your favorite basketball team from the stands. The Staples Center is one of the most well-known sporting arenas out there, and when you have a ticket to an epic game or event, the last thing you want is to be late because of parking. Here’s how to find easy parking near the Staples Center.

How do parking lots near the Staples Center work?

The Staples Center boasts 3,300 parking spaces at the parking lots and garages that it owns. There are an additional 10,000 nearby parking spots between the many private lots and garages that surround the Staples Center. All in all, there are tons of options!

Head to the Spot Angels parking map to see exactly where and when parking closest to your destination is reduced. Simply type in your desired location in the search bar and your desired parking time to reveal nearby parking options.

Save even more by booking ahead – many parking garages post higher rates when you book onsite.

How much does it cost to park at the Staples Center?

The Staples Center’s Parking Lot W (West Garage) and Lot E (East Garage) are open every day from 6 am – 2 pm. For longer events (lasting over 3 ½ hours), try to find parking at Lot W, where you can pay a flat fee ranging from $10 – $30, depending on the kind of event.

If you are looking for timed parking, Lot E is where you want to be. It’s $10 for the first two hours and $10 more for each additional half an hour. However, there is a $30 daily maximum, so this option is best for shorter events.

Is there accessible parking or parking for electric vehicles?

The Staples Center also offers plenty of handicap accessible parking spots and can accommodate all sorts of needs ranging from oversized parking to motorcycle parking. Lot W and Lot E even have electric charging stations!

Although it may be tempting, keep in mind that tailgating is strictly prohibited! Luckily there are plenty of great restaurants nearby to grab a bite and a drink before the big game or concert.

Are there any other parking spots nearby?

If you want to avoid on-site parking, there are many other options close by from private lots to metered street parking. Be aware that metered street parking fills up very quickly, so you might face some stiff competition to find some available spots.
